MISSION:
- Develop innovative electronic tools and solutions to support Lean manufacturing initiatives in new ways
- Offer to Manufacturing facilities and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) cost-effective, turn-key tools and solutions for notorious manufacturing problems
KEY OBJECTIVES:
- Devise solutions that would be widely adopted and easily implemented
- Design MID tools to be portable and mobile (small size, battery operation, wireless)
- Find non-invasive solutions that will not disturb existing processes
- Provide full independency of MID tools from existing Control system
- Provide interactive operator guidance to simplify operator training
- Design MID tools to be reliable, affordable and easy to support while in service
- Provide automated location awareness and "learning" of machine parameters
- Assure integrity of record-keeping information by fully automated backups
